👻 True Stealth Mode

Recall is designed for maximum invisibility. It won't appear in your taskbar, dock, or app switcher!

macOS

  • Hidden from Dock - Recall won't appear in your Dock
  • Hidden from Cmd+Tab - Won't show in app switcher
  • Menu Bar Icon - Look for the R icon in your menu bar
  • To Quit - Click menu bar icon → Quit, or use the app menu
  • Show/Hide - Press Option+Space

Windows

  • Hidden from Taskbar - Recall won't appear in your taskbar
  • Hidden from Alt+Tab - Won't show in app switcher
  • System Tray Icon - Look for Recall in system tray (near clock)
  • To Quit - Right-click tray icon → Exit
  • Show/Hide - Press Ctrl+Space

💡 Pro Tips for Better Responses

For Coding Problems:

  • Capture the full problem statement - scroll to show all constraints
  • Wait 1-2 seconds after screenshot before asking
  • Be specific: "Solve this in Java with O(n) complexity"

For Interview Questions:

  • Let the interviewer finish speaking before stopping audio
  • Record at least 10 seconds for good context
  • Use keywords: "What's a good answer for..."

⚠️ Troubleshooting

Audio not working?

  • Check microphone permissions in System Settings
  • Restart the app
  • Make sure no other app is using the microphone exclusively

Screenshots not capturing?

  • Check display scaling settings
  • Try single-monitor mode first
  • Ensure the target window is fully visible

AI responses too slow?

  • Check internet connection
  • Shorter audio clips = Faster processing
  • Clear old sessions for faster context lookup

PDF context appearing when not wanted?

  • Go to Settings → "Clear All PDFs"
  • Only upload PDFs when you need personalized responses
  • PDFs are used when you ask about resume, experience, skills, etc.

📝 Notes

  • Audio uses Whisper AI for transcription (works offline)
  • All AI responses use cloud API (requires internet)
  • Session data is stored locally on your device
  • Your data is not sent to any third party except for AI processing
